Multino Vyacheslav Multino (1899-1978) - repeated USSR champion in Doubles and Mixed discharges; finalist of the USSR championship in Singles (1934). Multiple champion of Russia and Leningrad. Distinguished virtuoso playing at the net. In 1927-37 was included in a top-10 USSR tennis players of the, the best place - # 2 (1931/32). In 1938 he was wrongly arrested, then rehabilitated in 1956.
korovina Galina Korovina (1909-1980) - one of the best tennis players of the USSR in the 1940's. Began play tennis in 1923, and in 7 years (at age of 30) she won her first title of the USSR champion. A 16-time USSR champion in different discharges, a 3-time champion in Singles (1940/44/45). A 45-time champion of Leningrad. She was included in the top-10 USSR tennis players in 1936-54, 3 times - as # 1 (in 1940/1944/45). Since 1955, she was on coach category.
Leyus Toomas Leyus (b.1941) - the first Soviet champion of Junior Wimbledon (1959). He became a Master of Sports of the USSR at age 16. Remembered by fans as a wonderful tactic of the game. Repeated USSR champion in all categories, a 4-time champion of the USSR of Singles. The leader of the USSR Davis Cup team in 60-ies. Finalist of Roland Garros-1969 in Doubles.
Zvereva Natasha Zvereva (b.1971) – the strongest USSR tennis player of the abroad 1980-90-ies. 3-time USSR champion in Singles (1986-88). From 1986 to 1992 she was included in Top-10 of the best USSR tennis, 4 times (1987-90) under # 1. 4-fold winner of the junior Grand Slam (2 - Wimbledon, 1 - Roland Garros and 1 US Open). The highest ranking in Singles - # 5 (1989). Won 4 WTA Tour tournaments (plus 15 finalist), runner-up of Roland Garros-1988, SF of Wimbledon-1998. A 20-time champion of the Grand Slam in Mixed and Doubles. Total in Doubles she won 76 titles.
